Thanks for visiting IndianaGuitarman.com. All instruments that we sell go thru a standard setup process.  We do this for free when most companys charge $25.00 to $50.00 dollars extra for it. Never buy a stringed instrument without it being setup. This process is absolutely necessary on all stringed instruments. Before you buy ask if the instrument will come already setup. We can offer this free because we are minutes from the manufacturer. There are, on occasion,  an instrument might not be set up perfect or to your standards. For this we are truely Sorry. Thanks

 

Hardware

•  Check/Adjust for smooth operation
•  Check/Adjust shakes and vibrations
•  Tighten hardware on tuners, strap buttons,  pots, and switches (if applicable)
•  Tighten and set hardware on bridge

Playability:

• Install a new set of strings (When Needed and we only use Indiana Brand Strings) 
• Adjust truss rod (When Needed and if adjusted you have to understand that it may take awhile for the neck to completely adjust. If you recieve an instrument that has so buzzing on the frets then the truss rod needs to be backed off. You may call for instructions!!!)
• Check/Adjust action
• Check/Adjust intonation
• Stretch strings numerous times until stable tuning is achieved (Your instrument will not come in tune or the strings tightened because it could worp the neck in shipping.)
• Check for any buzzing up and down the neck
• Play a variety of chords and styles of music
  

Electronics:

• Check/Adjust smooth and noiseless operation of pots and switches (if applicable)
• Check plug fit in output jack (if applicable)
• Check/Adjust pickup height (if applicable)

Visual:

•  Check for scratches
•  Check nut
•  Check inside cutaways (if applicable)
•  Check backplates (if applicable)
•  Check headstock
•  Check frets
•  Check fingerboard surface
•  Check top dots and/or inlays (if applicable)
•  Check side dots (if applicable)
•  Check top
  

Cosmetic Final:

• Polish headstock
• Polish back of instrument
• Polish front of instrument
  

Case/Gig Bag Contents:

• Inspect interior and exterior of case for flaws (if applicable)
• Check for wammy bar (if applicable)
• Check for Allen wrench (if applicable)
•  Check for Warranty form
•  Check 1/4 inch cable (if applicable)

• Tightening support arms
• Tightening head
• checking all brackets
• checking tone ring
• checking overall function and alienment
